Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Image Metadata Viewer at metadata-viewer.com.
Acceptance
By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service Description
Image Metadata Viewer provides browser-based tools and content for viewing image metadata, identifying common privacy risks, exporting metadata reports, and removing metadata from supported image formats. The first release processes selected images locally in the browser.
Permitted Use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the service.
Your Files
You are responsible for the images you choose to process. Do not use the service with files you do not have the right to use. The first release does not upload selected images to our servers for metadata viewing or cleanup.
Cleanup Limits
Metadata parsing and cleanup results depend on the image format, metadata structure, browser behavior, and tool support. JPG, PNG, and WebP cleanup are prioritized in the first release. HEIC and TIFF cleanup is not offered until reliable browser-only original-format cleanup has been validated. You should re-check cleaned files before sharing sensitive images.
No Professional Advice
The privacy risk labels are informational and do not replace legal, security, forensic, or compliance advice. AI/C2PA metadata detection is best-effort metadata inspection, not an authenticity guarantee.
Intellectual Property
You retain rights to your own files. The site's design, code, branding, text, and other content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated.
Third-Party Services
The service may include links to third-party websites or load third-party services such as analytics and maps. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
